Sadohana Dojo is a KoKoDo Honbu Jikimon Dojo. The style of Budo we offer is KoKoDo JuJutsu created and founded by Yasuhiro Irie, Shodai Soke of Omiya, Saitama Japan. KoKoDo JuJutsu relies on relaxation, Aiki and precision of technique. KoKoDo combines both aspects of defense: inside ones body (shiatsu) and self-defense against enimies outside the body (JuJutsu). Sadohana Dojo is run by Honbu Jikimon Kaiden Shihan Toudai Koga, Michael Seamark a direct deshi of Soke Irie.
KoKoDo JuJutsu is modern but traditional budo which specializes in the use of natural wrist and joint manipulation, throws and pressure points along the body's meridian system. The basic techniques or Kihon Waza teach how to neutralize, capture, throw or pin an attacker with the use of bone structure and pain compliance. As a Nihon Budo system, KoKoDo’s intent is to neutralize and control aggressiveness without injury. This is achieved through application of efficient and effective technique. Japanese culture, language and etiquette are strongly promoted in our dojo.
KoKoDo Shiatsu or Keiraku Shiatsu deals with balance of the body, mind and ki. These techniques use pressure points along the same body's meridian system to ease soreness, muscular fatigue and promote overall good health and wellness. In and Yo, (yin and yang) are inseparable.
